Have you ever considered what it means to be known by God? Maybe you’ve wondered how in the world God can fully know you, flaws and all, and still love you. Perhaps you fear being known so deeply, or it’s hard to fathom what it even means to know God personally. The desire to be known and loved; however, was put in you by God Himself! You were made to be known. God knows and loves you deeply, and the invitation to know him is always on the table.

Dr. Juli Slattery
Dr. Juli Slattery is a clinical psychologist, author, speaker, and the president/co-founder of Authentic Intimacy. Juli earned her college degree at Wheaton College, an MA in psychology from Biola University, and an MS and doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Florida Institute of Technology. From 2008-2012, Dr. Slattery served at Focus on the Family, but in 2012, she followed the Lord’s calling to start Authentic Intimacy, a ministry devoted to reclaiming God’s design for sexuality.

You can help make the first two-day Gathering happen this August! This is a great place for you to offer your time and gifts for God. Whether it’s on the Creative Team, the Host Team, the Set Up Team, or you name it, there’s a place for you to serve.
How can I be part of The Gathering?
Being part of The Gathering is as easy as taking two steps:
1. Get your ticket for $15 here.
2. Show up with your ticket! The Gathering will take place at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, August 22-23.
What if I don’t attend Calvary Chapel?
You’re invited! Regardless of which church you attend or your current beliefs, we look forward to gathering with you and women from all over for this special weekend.
Why is the Gathering two days long?
We’ve prayed about doing a two-day Gathering for quite some time! God finally opened the doors for this to happen with guest speaker Dr. Juli Slattery, in addition to other teachers who will provide a variety of breakout sessions covering important real-world topics. The prayer for this Gathering is that women walk away recognizing God deeply knows and loves them, how that changes the way they live, and how they can walk in authentic intimacy with Him and others.
Will the Gathering be available to watch online?
Unfortunately, The Gathering will not be available for streaming live; however, a recording of the Friday night session will be available to watch on YouTube the following week.
Is the event open to all ages?
Will there be assigned seating?
No, seating will not be assigned and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis as our host team seats guests upon arrival.
What if I’m only able to attend one day of the two-day Gathering?
You’re still more than welcome to purchase a ticket and participate in what you’re able.
Is there an after-party?
One of our favorite parts of The Gathering is what happens at the after-party! This year, the after-party will still follow the Friday night session. There will be sweet treats, a pop-up shop with cute merch and photobooths, and an amazing opportunity to get connected with other women. The Generous Cafe will be open, so you can grab a coffee and food trucks will be available for purchase!
Will translation be available?
Will a mommy room be available?
Yes. If you have a child under 18 months of age, you may watch The Gathering from the mommy room. Feel free to ask a member of our Host Team to guide you to the room at any time.
Are there scholarships available?
We don’t want finances to stand in the way of you attending the two-day Gathering event! If you’re in need of financial assistance, please e-mail Women@CalvaryFTL.org.
Can I bring my son?
Although we believe in the next generation of men being part of the church, The Gathering is a space specifically designed for women of all generations. Childcare will not be available during this event, and it would be best if your son didn’t attend.
