40 Days of Prayer

Real ministry. Real leadership development.

Calvary Internships develop future leadersโ€”both in the church and beyond. Interns serve on a ministry team during the week and gather weekly as a cohort for leadership training, discipleship, and spiritual formation. Youโ€™re trusted with real responsibility, supported by mentors, and formed in community.

why calvary internships?

Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale has a long history of raising up leaders. Many of our pastors, staff, and volunteers began here as interns willing to learn, serve, and grow.

This internship is one of the primary ways we invest in emerging leaders. Whether youโ€™re exploring a call to ministry or simply want to grow as a follower of Jesus and a leader, this program is designed to help you take your next step.

what are the expected work hours of an intern?

It depends on the internship, but most internships will be around 25 hours a week. (you can see the schedule for each internship in the job description). There may also be some flexibility for interns who are in school or have jobs. If you have questions or concerns aboutย that, let’s talk!

can I receive college credit hours for my internship?

Yes, you can receive credit hours for certain colleges and seminaries. We will need written permission and paperwork from your school.

can I work as an intern at Calvary if I have a full-time job?

Maintaining a full-time job while interning at Calvary is not easy. The majority of your internship hours will take place during regular office hours to gain experience in the ministry or field you select. Some hours are flexible for interns who have other jobs or special circumstances, depending on the department. If you have more questions about this, please reach out!

does Calvary provide health insurance or any kind of benefits for interns?
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer benefits for interns, but you do get a nice discount at The Grill, Calvaryโ€™s highly-rated, full-service restaurant, and access to our on-site gym for the entire length of your internship!

โ€‹

will Calvary cover my moving expenses?

If you choose to relocate, you will be responsible for any moving expenses.

does Calvary help international intern candidates secure work visas?
