Our Community

Serving Our Community

Don’t just go to church, BE the Church! We are called to reach people outside the four walls of our church to show them there is a God who loves them. From helping out at nursing homes and local schools to providing hope for those in prisons and recovery facilities, here are just a few ways you can make an impact in your community and be part of the work God is doing in, through, and around the people of our church.

All Volunteer Opportunities

We are hoping to find individuals, couples, and families who are willing to show the love of Jesus Christ to the lonely and sometimes forgotten elderly of South Florida.

This volunteer will be responsible for helping execute events for the church.

Facilities

Fort Lauderdale

We are a support ministry to the staff and body of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale. We make disciples through the construction, preparation, and maintenance of our facilities.

We have several serving opportunities available from morning – evening.

Come join our food and beverage ministry team! If you love food, coffee or are you just looking for place to connect with the church,  this ministry has many serving opportunities across many campuses. Our ministry’s goal is to serve our guests though excellent food, beverages and warm hospitality.

Do you have a heart to help people and a desire to protect the flock? Do you have a law enforcement, security, or military background? Sign up and see if the Gatekeepers team can use your skills, gifts and talents for the Lord!

If you have a heart to serve others and would like to become a Calvary Group Leader, we’d love to talk more with you about opening up your home to lead a group. Sign up today to get started! For questions, visit us at the Connection Point in the church lobby or…

Volunteers will be needed when a storm has been identified to come near or over Broward County and our surrounding counties, as well as after the storm has passed. If you feel lead to assist, training will be provided!

If your heart is to assist in making the difficult time of the loss of a loved one less burdensome by comforting those emotionally, encouraging them spiritually, and assisting in the practical details of arranging a funeral/memorial service. We would love for you to join the team.

Jesus said “I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.”—Matthew 25:36

Church volunteer stories

“Calvary Chapel has been with my for 5 years. Since joining, I’ve constantly grown, felt closer to Jesus, and have built lasting relationships with those around me. Volunteering and helping those around me has been my most rewarding part of being part of Calvary.
