Foundations of Hope is a faith-based program that addresses the problem of repeat offenders by offering inmates support and direction both during their incarceration and after their release. Through Foundations of Hope, we’re able to provide a continuum of care through our pre-release Lifestyle Program and aftercare programs – First Hope and New Hope homes.
The Lifestyle and Aftercare program is a 90-day program located at the Paul Rein Detention Center. The purpose of the Lifestyle program is to help inmates become healthy, contributing members in the community by preparing them for the future. We do this by offering scheduled classes, support groups, community-building exercises, and aftercare.
The First Hope program requires a 12-month commitment and provides a structured faith-based lifestyle for women in recovery. Applicants will be required to complete an application along with an in-person or phone interview. If accepted into the program, residents will attend daily meetings to address addiction, abuse, anger, inner healing, and family restoration. Each woman will be individually assessed to address any other specific needs, such as parenting classes, financial planning, sexual abuse, etc.
New Hope is a ministry of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale that is designed to help women who have completed a Christian residential program and desire to help as they transition back into the community. This family environment assists women in finding jobs and helping them create a financial plan for independent living. It also provides spiritual growth, accountability, counsel, and a safe home with a house manager.
"As a Broward County attorney, I have represented countless women who have participated in the Lifestyle Program. This program is administered by some of the most caring and concerned individuals who are dedicated to helping women in need. They will do whatever it takes to get participants whatever they need to help them succeed. The program is perfectly tailored to assist with every stage of recovery, including transitioning back into the community. As an attorney with a strong track record of helping women in need. I'm proud to work with the Lifestyle Program."

"My life was spiraling out of control and on September 17, 2015 my life was changed forever. I ended up in jail for a crime I didn't commit. After a week of being incarcerated, I moved to the Lifestyle Program. It was during this time that I knew God was calling me back to Him. I surrendered my life to God and began building my relationship with Him. I thank God for the volunteers that came in and poured out their love. I spent 15 months in the Lifestyle Program, and God totally transformed me."
