No. Guests must secure their own transportation.
Hotel check-in at the front desk begins at 4pm. If you arrive earlier, you may be able to check in if your room is ready and available. In case your room is not ready, the hotel will store your luggage and the front desk will notify you when it will be available. Please note the reservation will be under the husband’s first and last name.
Check in for the retreat will be from 6:30–7:30pm—we’ll let you know where in the hotel this will be located as we get closer to the date of the retreat. After you have checked in, feel free to explore the hotel or grab a bite to eat before the first session begins.
Although this is the ideal, this hotel will accept debit cards. There may be a hold for a few days on your card while things clear in the system.
Dress throughout the weekend will be “resort casual.” Even in light of the Saturday evening dinner and optional beachside vow renewal with our pastors, we are not encouraging formal dress.
At times, the indoor space may become cool, so feel free to bring another layer to stay comfortable.
This weekend presents a great opportunity to display the love of Christ to hotel employees. One way to display the generosity of our God is to be good stewards to the staff who assist you and your spouse with your stay. Tipping hotel staff who assist you in carrying your luggage, parking your car, or cleaning your room is not required, but is customary or encouraged.
Parking is the only additional, mandatory expense you will have. The cost will be posted to an incidental folio for each guest to be paid upon check-out. The rates are $15 for self-parking and $30 for valet per day.
Resort fee, round trip bellman, and four meals (Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner and Sunday breakfast) are all included. Individual incidentals like restaurants, gift shop purchases, spa, and golf are on your own.
The resort fee, Wi-Fi, and use of the pools, beach, and common areas.
Parking, any and all spa treatments, and golfing.
Please visit the Hotel Website for a full list of activities.
We have been blessed by a unique partnership with Marriott Marco Island. This has afforded us the ability to host our conference at an unprecedented low cost. In order to accomplish this, we agreed to a “no cancellations or changes” policy with the hotel and other vendors. Cancellations and changes would require a considerable amount of time, administrative costs, and potentially, additional penalties and expenses above and beyond the already discounted cost. For this reason, we are unable to provide refunds.
This is common in booking discounted travel—i.e. airline tickets, Expedia hotel reservations.
The 2021 Married Couples Retreat begins Friday, August 27 at 6:30pm and ends Sunday, August 29 at 1pm. Check out time on Sunday is at 11am.
Calvary Pastors and their wives.
Children are NOT PERMITTED at the event.
A limited number of suites and Paradise by Sirene Rooms are available for an additional fee.
In order to best accommodate all of our guests, and due to the size of our group and the layout and availability of the types of rooms we have reserved, we are unable to guarantee a particular room location. We communicated our retreat goals to the hotel, which include strengthening marriages and providing the best possible experience the hotel has to offer. With those goals in mind, all guests will be checked into the first available, vacant, and ready room that matches our contract and reservation criteria upon check-in, regardless of its location. Special requests such as rooms located near each other will delay the check-in process, and void any guarantee of securing the best possible rooms.
One way that Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale practices stewardship is as a member of Marriott Rewards. Earned points help offset the overall production costs of retreats. Marriott Rewards points for room and banquet charges follow the master form of payment. In our case, since the actual cost of the retreat is greater than what we are charging (the church is blessing couples by supplementing the cost of the retreat), all room and banquet charges are routed to a tax-exempt master account and paid for by the church directly. The church will receive a small Marriott Rewards bonus, which, again, is used to further offset the total cost of the retreat. However, an individual may not also earn Marriott Rewards at the same time. Any incidentals that the individual incurs while on their stay will be credited to the member’s Marriott Rewards account, to the extent allowed by the Member Agreement.
