Because of you, we’ve delivered over 20,000 backpacks to kids in need for the past 11 years—that’s over 2,000 backpacks every year! And this year, we have the opportunity to do it again!
We know the expense of preparing children for the start of a school year can be an extremely heavy burden for some families—especially today with so many who’ve lost their jobs due to COVID-19. What better way to tangibly show the love of Christ than to help families by giving their kids backpacks filled with the basic school supplies they’ll need for the upcoming school year!
A backpack by itself may not seem that impactful, but it’s the heart behind giving the backpack that makes a difference! Let’s love like Jesus and spread as much joy and hope to those in need.
How can we do that? Your generosity will go directly toward purchasing and donating backpacks to some incredible organizations in our community who are passionate about reaching children who are at- risk, underprivileged, or face many other disadvantages.
There are two simple ways to give—just be sure to make your donations by July 31!
Don’t have time to shop, but want to participate? Not a problem—you do the donating, we do the shopping! For every $25 you donate to our Relief and Restoration fund, you’ll provide a child with a backpack filled with school supplies!
Want to create your own backpack? That’s fine, too! Once you’ve created your masterpiece, simply put it in the FoodShare bin by the Church Office at the Fort Lauderdale campus. For your convenience, we’ve provided a list of all the supplies needed for each backpack by grade,
Ēma’s goal is to lower the number of children in foster care by helping struggling single moms through life coaching, parental education, career assistance, job placement, housing assistance, crisis resources, and court advocacy.

Innovation Charter School is a kindergarten through fifth grade school striving to provide excellence in academics and a caring environment for disadvantaged kids. Because of you, kids will be given a backpack on Preview Day—the day before school when they meet their teachers!
Firewall Centers’ after-school program provides tutoring and mentoring to high-need students in elementary, middle, and high school.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office is a full-service, public safety agency. For the past several years, they’ve partnered with the cities of Pompano Beach and North Lauderdale to give backpacks to kids from underprivileged neighborhoods.
