HOW DOES A DISCIPLE LIVE?
Filled with the Spirit

A disciple is faithful to God and honors Him with his or her life.

A disciple shares life with the family of believers.
A disciple freely gives from a glad heart.
2 Corinthians 9:6–15
A disciple values others and their unique role in the Body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:12–27
A disciple is open and transparent with other believers in order to live above reproach.
A disciple seeks to have unity with other believers.
A disciple seeks to live at peace with others.
A disciple has a passion for justice and a heart for people who are suffering.
A disciple is humble before God and others.

A disciple feels remorse for their sins and genuinely repents.
A disciple receives the wisdom of the Lord through the study of His Word and the leading of the Spirit.
WHAT DOES A DISCIPLE DO?
Love is the defining characteristic of a disciple because it was the defining characteristic of Jesus.

A disciple’s obedience to God shows his or her devotion to Him.

A disciple trusts the Lord no matter what is going on around them.
A disciple is faithful with everything the Lord has given him or her.

A disciple freely shares with others what he or she has because of the generosity that flows from their heart.
A disciple puts others first and seeks to serve people.
A disciple understands that they will experience suffering in this world because of their faith.
A disciple endures and stays strong through the power of the Spirit.
A disciple is equipped by the power of God to stand strong in any circumstance.
A disciple lives with expectant hope based on the promises of God in His Word.
